Run by Tom Deluxx
New Video for the Track "Run" by Tom Deluxx. The track is nasty, and is available on Beatport. Tom Deluxx has always been one of my favorite artists that bring a real face melting+grinding electro sound.

Scion Radio 17 Presents

I had the pleasure to see all of these homies tear it up this last wed. in Salt Lake City, Utah @W lounge for the Scion Radio 17 tour.
Set List
DJ Eleven-Killed the dance floor, dropping familiar tunes + mega bass hitters. I really enjoyed this already classic tune by Riva Starr.
Franki Chan- Homeboy from IHeartComix!, sick set, i was chilling with my homies and he kept up the energy. Did some MCin', and was offering scion cars for drinks.
Sinden-Played "Jungle/rainforest" sounding house, mellow and deep house. I need to explore this genre more, and here is one track that he dropped that I ID'd through a friend on the dancefloor.
Calypso (Original Mix)-Round Table Knights +++ Blaise this is the track you wanted me to post
Jokers of the Scene- Threw down mega-bass dancefloor killers. From what I have heard from them before, alot of tracks that they dropped were their own sound + produced music. Here are some dope tracks,+ Remixes from JOTS.

Wowzuh.

19 delicious tracks for you guys.. or one zip file. your call! they're all amazing, trust me.
[zip file will be at the bottom, so you know what you're getting first]
also, i'll post some full albums at the very end. some that were part of this post and some that weren't... it's like a toy at the bottom of a cereal box! you never know what you'll get, unless it's the crappy plastic spoon they put on the outside of the box. anyway, get em while you can..
- fun song, pretty mellow, definitely a feel good one to drive to after a day of shredding (snow, water, concrete, wheat, whatever you prefer)
- i don't know what to tell you about this.. just download it. something to bop your head and clap your hands to with your friends. and who doesn't like that?
- a must have, if you aren't already familiar. grizzly bear side project. nuff said.
- picked this one up a couple days ago, really grew on me. very gradual intro carrying into a minimal downtempo kinda groove. not sure if it's accurate, but it reminds me of crossing grizzly bear with the smiths. doesn't seem the best way to describe it but that's what pops into my head, sorry.
- needed a pick me up after that last song. grungey kind of electropop feel to it, think old tokyo police club. good energy, lots of distortion over a catchy riff. lovin' it.
- actually got this whole album today, a friend told me to because i enjoy arcade fire. good call on his part. trust him! get it! what're you waiting forrrr!
- i'm in love with this. it's so simple but amazing. wouldn't classify it as true grimey gnarly dubstep (tek-one, rusko, etc) but definitely a must have. have i been saying that a lot? sorry.
- another pick me up cuz that last song was so perfectly mellow. cleanish guitar and a smooth bass line over some bangin' static drums, repetitive falsettos about wanting to live in an asylum, what's not to love? this song reminds me of On Parade by Electrelane.
- more upbeat, short song, still great. i want to make an edit to this. can't pinpoint who they're similar to, but think if neutral milk hotel traded in a deep voice for a high one and a banjo. giiiit iiiiiiit.
- oldie, off the mixtape, but definite goody. came up on shuffle this week. thought i'd throw it in. yee.
- gotta toss in some electro, despite how indie this post has turned out to be. i just love this because all the club rats think you're going to drop "Be" by Swedish House Mafia if you mix it that way, but then drops to some delicious cherry flavored shufflin' tunage.
- got this little ep entitled H.A.G.S. from mah dude ali, it's amazing. you all need to get it. sort of beirut feel to it but more folky and bright. ahhh put it on repeat now.
- first found out about these guys because my beloved Kids At The Bar remixed their song "strictly game." the original was awesome as well, so i got the whole album. lovely.
- not electro, sorry. more like a cover than a remix. mellow, kinda dark, but pleasing nonetheless.
- i'm running out of freakingg adjectives! CRAP. it's great lake swimmers, if you've heard of them, then you know. if you don't know, then you betta ax sumbuddy. get it. please?
- i love this intro so effin' much. amazing guitars, soon accompanied by a great voice, it all blends into perfection. go go go.
- found these guys on a forum with the growlers, the soft pack, etc.. different than what i was expecting (which was something more like the strange boys) but a very pleasant surprise. good old rock n' roll. without the crappy aspect.
- awesome, kind of poppy, upbeat, echoed choruses, bright feeling. get creepy!
- you need to get this album. it's great. really, it is. and this song is like the ultimate "F YOU!" to anyone you don't like, but without having to get riled up and yelling it. watch the music video here to get the idea. yeah!
Full Albums:
**All music is property of these amazing artists, and you should buy their songs, visit their sites, and go to all their shows. most importantly, go to their shows. they get the most money and exposure from gigs, whereas buying the album on itunes or anywhere else online puts about half the money into the pockets of people that have nothing to do with the artist's creation. thanks.
love you guys, look out for some more regularly scheduled postage.

So i shredded the valley.. snow valley to be specific, and it was basically twice as foggy as this picture, minus snow, plus rain. somehow still managed to have an amazing day. friends and snowboards can never lead to lame times, the combination is enthralling. (big wurdz ftw)
The night wasn't bad either.. haven't had that genuine of a smile on my face in a while. good stuff. can't wait to sleep tonight, i'm gonna go pass out til saturday. you should have this playing on repeat until then:

also, i'm working on a cudi-esque hip hop track sampling this song (woooot):
BONUS: might as well throw in a remix, right?

Vampire Wednesday

I know it's nothing brand spankin' new, but this is just such an amazing remix it deserves a posting. Our beloved Miike Snow killed it with this one. The intro is just this feel good wave of arpeggiated randomness, slightly reminding you of owl city (minus the mainstream poppy hipster mtv vibe) and making you want to put it on repeat for about an hour. Not only that, but the subtle drop could just maaaybe be considered a banger. I mean it's hard not to want to start shufflin' in your bedroom once you hear that grindy bass synth. The instruments are simple yet so very effective. Definitely an all time favorite in my heart. Pick up the self titled album if you haven't yet. You won't regret it homeslice.

If This is Life...

oh hey, happy 2010. maybe i'll do something productive this year. maybe move out to utah and talk with an australian accent at every party i go to. something weird like that. aside from that, i am this moment resolving to blog frequently. shred frequently. and get the number of every girl in starbucks wearing toms the same day as me that catches my eye (im really pissed i let that one get away, i mean we were wearing the same shoes. thats easy conversation, right? if only..)
regardless, here are some goodies for all you followers. this one goes out to you guys. all four. we love you the most.
fell in love with 'this sweet love' a little while back but never got more of James Yuill's stuff til tonight. accompanying these 3 favorites of mine (in order, all highly recommended) is a nice little rework remix disco styley do over piece i find quite enjoyable. hope you like it as well:
be well in 2010,
william.
